Celebrate World Snow Day in Port Ainé with a day full of activities and fun!

The six tourist facilities are joining World Snow Day on the weekend of January 18 and 19, to introduce the world of snow to their users. Among the various recreational activities that will be organized, the Papus Night, snowman contest, tubing descents, children's workshops and a ski pass raffle stand out.

The snowfalls in mid-December, along with the cold and sunny weather of most days of this holiday, have favored an increase of up to 39% in visitors compared to last season.

From January 2nd to 5th, at the INEFC Barcelona, ​​FGC Turisme will showcase the range of snow and sports activities in La Molina, Vallter, Vall de Núria, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll, which are already in full swing these days. People who visit the FGC stand will be able to live immersive experiences for all audiences: immerse themselves in the descent of a ski slope or a bike park at full speed with virtual reality glasses and try out the ski simulators.

With snow depths of up to 60 cm, the Pallaresa resort will open up to 14 slopes spread over 20 kilometers. Port Ainé celebrates the Christmas holidays with activities such as the cagada de la Tronca, workshops, excursions, the visit of the Three Kings and the torchlight descent.

La Molina, Vall de Núria, Vallter, Espot Esquí, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll will open their ski areas between tomorrow, Friday, December 13, and the following Saturday, after snowfalls that have left thicknesses ranging between 20 and 60 cm of snow. In addition, if conditions permit, the ski areas will be expanded.

Thanks to the snowfall recorded since Saturday, December 7, the six Ferrocarrils tourist facilities will open slopes between Friday 13 and Saturday 14.

The new panoramic viewpoint, "El balconet de Port Ainé", is located at an altitude of 2000 meters and offers spectacular views of the western Pyrenees. The new installation reinforces the commitment of the Departament de Territori, Habitatge i Transició Ecològica and Ferrocarrils to the promotion and preservation of the natural environment.
